Each academy that uses Acadenova is the data controller for its own staff, students and parents. Acadenova is the data processor for that data, acting on the academy's instructions.

For the demo-request form on this marketing site, Acadenova is the data controller of the details a visitor submits.

The demo-request form collects your name, email address, academy name, role, the size band you select for your academy, and, if you choose to give them, a phone number and a message.

We also record a hashed version of your IP address, used only to help prevent spam submissions.

For each account, Acadenova stores a name, an email address and a role.

For each academy, Acadenova stores students, classes and attendance, billing plans, invoices and ledger entries, teacher payroll, noticeboard posts and file attachments, and receipts.

This data is processed by Acadenova on the academy's instructions, as their processor.

• Demo-request leads: legitimate interest, in responding to your enquiry.
• The app, for an academy that has signed up: performance of our contract with that academy.
• Data an academy stores in the app about its staff, students or parents: processed on that academy's instructions, under the legal basis the academy itself relies on as controller.

• Supabase, for the database, authentication and file storage.
• Vercel, for hosting the application.

There is no email provider, analytics or advertising service in use at present.

Data is hosted in the European Union. We do not publish the exact region here.

Retention period for demo-request leads: 12 months.

An academy's data is kept for as long as the academy's account with Acadenova is active. On termination, it is deleted on request; see our Terms.

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to the processing of your personal data.

For data the marketing site holds about you, or for your own account in the app, email info@acadenova.com.

If you are a student or a parent and your data is held by an academy using Acadenova, that academy is the controller of your data. Please contact your academy directly; Acadenova processes that data only on the academy’s instructions.

You can complain to your local data protection supervisory authority if you believe your data has been processed unlawfully.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the date below when we do.
